The voices were not kind again,

 looking for weakness

 planting seeds of demise.

 darkness is warmest.
 
Soil we prepared.

 dreams we amended.

 Waiting for trees of life.

upended.

No matter what God you worship…what religion you’ve grown up with 
or you now think is ‘cool’
isn’t it amazing how every religion ever created has in their basic principles…

Yet…we hear stories every day…stories we hope and pray cannot be true….

In the street I found you
oblong pebble
Where did you hail from
an outcrop  or some bizarre barrier reef
I let you chalk 
to all the lost and lonely

I love you like Jah
I cannot bare any flowers in my seed bed
I  lay you in the mud
chlorosis of zinc and potassium

A lonely note rings out, soft yet clear
Piercing through the deserted landscape
Its tenor wafts over all
Yet none stir at its sorrowful tone

It recalls, all too well, the deafening octaves 
Of a time, so recent, yet wiped away forever
A town indelibly etched in black
To the violent blasts of flamboyant horns
