Stolen Moments
He clutched the string to his heart
His soul screamed with silent rage
Wings of steel bound
Moments gone forever stolen
Within the confines of his mind
He tries to calm what remains
of this tormented soul
In the flames of autumn
He threads in solemn solitude
His spirit cries out to the dark skies
Far into the deepening night
He awaits the rising dawn
Another day will allow
him to feel again
Guide him down the road
Moments gone forever stolen
Never to come back again.
