Stolen Moments

He clutched the string to his heart His soul screamed with silent rage Wings of steel bound Moments gone forever stolen Within the confines of his mind He tries to calm what remains of this tormented soul In the flames of autumn He threads in solemn solitude His spirit cries out to the dark skies Far into the deepening night He awaits the rising dawn Another day will allow him to feel again Guide him down the road Moments gone forever stolen Never to come back again. 4/21/15 Copyright 2015 Phyllis Babcock

Dear Phyl, I love the way you build the suspense in a Hitchcock-like manner and then leave us guessing about his fate at the end. Awesome, my friend! Hope you and your family are doing well. I'm missing Joyce, who broke her arm, and Paul Callus too. Sending hugs to you, Carolyn
