I love birds. My daughter wants to be an ornithologist someday. I can tell you love spring. The red bird you speak of is so pretty on a white snow branch. Your poem's imagery makes many nice Christmas cards. "A family of six" what a busy mama. Peep,peep. A pretty poem,so timely.
