Each year the ghost of past Falls’ returns
bringing its simple—but wondrous—treasures.
Turning the world to harmonious earthy hues.
Ardent amber, golden orange, warm browns of
walnut, spicy toffee, biscuit, bronze, russet reds.
Autumn’s brisk light dances on orchards blessing abundant harvests.
Cinnamon, pumpkin, ginger, pecan and persimmon.
September skies expectant for the change as
radiant woodlands pivot to leafy, lulled, silent shadows.
Faded fallen, fluttering leaves, crisp crunchy, mottled pathways.
Lost glorious largesse.
In the inevitable passing of seasons — this velvet, vibrant
vivid — Autumn is treasured most.
