Mother Wedding Poems and Vows

My Daughters Wedding Day
December twentieth two thousand and three, A day to remember in my memory. The day that my daughter, the light of my life, Will walk down the aisle, to become someone’s wife. And I shall be proud as I walk by her side, The father of such a beautiful bride. The groom will be waiting, best man by his side, And lips will be bitten, eyes trying not to cry. Vows they will both make “I do “both will say, On this, my daughters wedding day. Proud we’ll both stand, her mother and me, And remember the time that they were we.

I Shall Not Burn
I have done with love and lust, I reck not for gold or fame; I await familiar dust These frail fingers to reclaim: Not for me the tiger flame.
Not for me the furnace glow, Rage of fire and ashen doom; To sweet earth my bones bestow Where above a lowly tomb January roses bloom.
Fools and fools and fools are you Who your dears to fires confide; Give to Mother Earth her due: Flesh may waste but bone will bide,-- Let loved ones lie side by side.
Let God's Acre ever dream; Shed your tears and blossoms bring; On age-burnished bone will gleam Crucifix and wedding ring: Graves are for sweet comforting.
Curst be those who my remains Hurl to horror of the flames!

Thoughts In a Warm Room
She looked deep into his eyes wondering why she loved him It was not shape or personality alone His tongue was sharp at times and as he touched her magic parts Wondering -- vanished

~*~my Mother In-Law~*~
My mother in-law is a wonderful person. She treats me good and tells me all about her son. She said that she hopes the best for us. That she hopes we last long and someday get married. I love hearing her say that. It tells me that I have her approval. She even told me that the reason she tells me about her son is because she sees me like her daughter and I take that to the heart.

Their Anniversary

She Was a Lovely Bride
amidst musty furniture and splintering rafters there it hung draped across the manikin so gracefully elegant and beautiful white and lacy with its gleaming pearls and lingering train its a gown for a seraph glowing luminously in the dim light of the loft so glamorous almost perfect stunning like my mother bold as my father embodying love and devotion memories and passion inhibits a model's splendor grants me a sense of ecstasy my mother's wedding dress

Child Corset
Whale-bone satchel hidden underneath The husband comes in to take the sheath From his wife, To pull away the knife. Support this cradled strap Call the cartographer for a map To chart the followed Path, Taken before by Plath. Hold the chest For this test Of love, Of affection From above, This rejection Holds still a toy For a boy And twirls For a girl.

Symbol of Love
When you and your wife had your baby, he became the ultimate symbol of love that you two share. He represents a love that will stand the test of time and that shines brighter than a flare. Some people think that wedding rings are the symbol of love between a man and his wife. But wedding rings are just pieces of metal and they can't touch the symbol of love that comes from this tiny life.
