Bride Wedding Poems and Vows

At The Wedding March
God with honour hang your head, Groom, and grace you, bride, your bed With lissome scions, sweet scions, Out of hallowed bodies bred.
Each be other's comfort kind: Déep, déeper than divined, Divine charity, dear charity, Fast you ever, fast bind.
Then let the March tread our ears: I to him turn with tears Who to wedlock, his wonder wedlock, Déals tríumph and immortal years.
by Gerard Manley Hopkins

THE WEDDING
A FEAST was in a village spread,-- It was a wedding-day, they said.
The parlour of the inn I found, And saw the couples whirling round, Each lass attended by her lad, And all seem'd loving, blithe, and glad; But on my asking for the bride, A fellow with a stare, replied: "'Tis not the place that point to raise! We're only dancing in her honour; We now have danced three nights and days, And not bestowed one thought upon her.

A Bride's Heartfelt Declaration
I have waited for you forever, it seems But I always knew you would come. I have seen your face in a million sweet dreams My husband, my Lover, my Chum. I have chosen to walk your path with you; To always stay right by your side. I promised God that, when I said, "I do" As your loving and loyal Bride. I am not afraid to tackle this life As long as we walk here, as one. I am so very proud to be your Wife My husband, my Lover, my Chum.

My Lonely Soul
You made me see who you really are, and the worst one so far. But I leave this world cold and lonely, I have these five words for you only. I hate you forever now, and that is all that matters anyhow. Why did you leave me unhappy and depressed, and I bet you knew all the rest. Dont worry and trust me for what Im about to say, my soul is here to haunt you and its here to stay. You can run but you cant hide, from your lonely souled bride who died.

The Search Is On
Are you the one, the bride I try to find? Still haven't met you, how can I make up my mind? How am I to know? How am I to decide? Waiting for the questions to get demystified I know that I am patient; I know that I can wait Not for ever though, it doesn't work out like that I am sure it'll help me find some answers if we go out on a date.

THE BRIDE-CAKE
This day, my Julia, thou must make For Mistress Bride the wedding-cake: Knead but the dough, and it will be To paste of almonds turn'd by thee; Or kiss it thou but once or twice, And for the bride-cake there'll be spice.
by Robert Herrick

The Eyes of Her Beloved
This pink-faced blushing bride explodes with wonderment, joyously embracing the mystery unfolding in each moment. The white lace and satin obscure her hidden history: forgotten pain, broken promises, and the gentle acceptance that healed them all. December twentieth two thousand and three, A day to remember in my memory. The day that my daughter, the light of my life, Will walk down the aisle, to become someone’s wife. And I shall be proud as I walk by her side, The father of such a beautiful bride. The groom will be waiting, best man by his side, And lips will be bitten, eyes trying not to cry. Vows they will both make “I do “ both will say, On this, my daughters wedding day. Proud we’ll both stand, her mother and me, And remember the time that they were we.
