The Missing Letter Marquee

Guarding the tapeta track neighboring the south beach, Hal and Dale observed the sand and sea put on a show while reflecting upon many deep thoughts.

“You parked the gulf stream Pegasus plane back in the hanger?” Asked Hal.

“Yup, filled it up with gas for the next time,” Dale added.

Calendar months turned and the time passage felt like a second despite the one-night memory years ago that seemed like yesterday, when the two acting like bulldogs encountered a professional gator selling Izod baggage.

“What was her name?” Hal started, “again,”

“Candy Light, she was very luring being an athletic fitness winner,” Dale clarified, “out of the money riding pretty, until”

“The treasure chested Pirate invasion?” Hal remembered and Dale grimaced, “she got picked up and swiped away seeing a fortune,”

“Sort of,” Hal took a deep breath.

To be honest the Izod suitcase salesman boss, named JP had a hellish behavior and offered Candy Light an allowance claiming, money in the bank option.

“Who saw that JP Hellish coming he was a long shot,” Hal recounted, “and for a second earned a nice price.”

“Made headline news with that show idea,” Dale remembered, “what was it called?”

“Ice Chocolat and the critics called it a winner,” Dale mentioned. “except for the marquee misspelling.”

A few minutes quietly elapsed and a British entry, a noted favorite bumped into the two carrying on talking, “I tell you I stood my firm turf,” Masen defended, “and found myself, out of the money.”

Finding a park bench the three took time, relaxing, and Masen started explaining, “you know how Ice Chocolat was missing the e?” The Producer started spinning, “well there is a story behind that.”

Feeling sorrowful, Hal handed over a cup filled with water and Masen recounted about the show featuring an Anatolian character who loved sweet greetings.

“I see, R Callie Kim, thought she was the winner logged a claim of foul,” Dale put together watching Masen shake his head affirmatively, “the stage manager Alpha Bella, left the e off the marquee.”

“And when Steward came to do his review,” Masen continued, “he disallowed the complaint and R Callie Kim was put in her place, the lady letter, Alpha Bella stood firm protecting her turf and she ended up the best.”

“And what happened to Candy Light?” Dale inquired.

“Since they were acting like grade three students, she found another show called “The La Prevoyant and told them to take care,” Masen reported, “you know she had a lot at stake.”

Watching another wave break, “I am really glad everything worked out.” Hal concluded.

“Light candy took care of the misspelling of La Chocolat before moving on to another long name musical,” Dale expressed.

“Now that you were told the truth, can I have a little tass in this cup,” Masen requested, allowing both Hal and Dale to drop the hint, “isn’t the tass the reason you are out of the money even though you were favorite?”

“Okay, I will have some tea then,” Masen gratefully, smiled.
