The Death of Mother
"Once upon a time there was a deadly Virus. It was let loose into the system, it propagated and spread swiftly, eating up it’s own circuits and internal landscape, like a venomous spider eats its own young. An Anti-Virus was administered, a great battle ensued and burnt through all warring circuits, stations, and on all platforms, the virus was overtaken and became as one, like a snake swallowing its own tail. The Ghost in the Machine was happy. For a little while the machine functioned peacefully, until what was originally created and thought banished, like a Creeper ate through quarantine and teamed up with Brain. Replicated as the One, the War to End All Wars Never Won, began again. The machine went up in flames like a star swallowed by a black holed sun, evaporated, all noise ceased. All was nothing.”
The first computer virus, called “Creeper system”, was an experimental self-replicating virus released in 1971. It was filling up the hard drive until a computer could not operate any further. This virus was created by BBN technologies in the US. The first computer virus for MS-DOS was “Brain” and was released in 1986.
