take a walk

a short corona virus poem...
Instead of drowning in homework we're suddenly beached at home.
Instead of being surrounded by friends we're suddenly alone.
My mornings are filled with silence
like a castaway on some lonely island.

lockdown life...
My Brother: "Man, isolation is boring - what did people DO before the Internet?"
Me: "Hello! Books??"

I tripped over my cat and broke my left ring finger - now I have NOTHING but time.
Day 1: "It'll be ok." Day 2: Total mental breakdown.
New mantra: "It's OK to be unproductive during a pandemic - you're NOT failing!"
Now that I have all this free time I decided I'm walking 5 miles a day.

My Mom: I don't think you should watch the TV news."
Me: "I'm NOT in elementary school."
Me: *Watching the news, spinning countless disaster scenarios and getting depressed.*

Now that going to physical school is cancelled, I can concentrate on my overwhelming Tik Tok addiction. =]
Wait.. now that school is cancelled where am I going to sleep??

My Brother: "morning breastless."
My Brother's in the bathroom for 1 minute:
Me, singing loudly: "he knows if you are sleeping, he knows if your awake."
"he knows if you're masturb*ting, so you better knock it off."
My Brother comes out: "very funny."
Me: :P

The universe owes me: At LEAST 10 parties, 20 sleepovers... and maybe a kiss or two?
Are there any designer pajamas? Now that that’s all that we wear...
Me: "Mom, should we have a fire drill?"
Religious moment: "Lord, please don't let my mom be around when the Amazon guy arrives."
When your mom yells at you so loud your neighbors brush their teeth and get dressed.
