Land to sea

He lay beside me the soft cold sand molding against the skin beneath us. Heads tilted back , our eyes are directed at the stars in the night sky. We make pictures out of the stars, our own created constellations; Stories of our own vision in time. The wind off of the tide rolling in blows my long blonde hair across my face, and tickles my shoulder blades. My feet push the sand off of my toes and ankles as I leap out of the sand dancing towards the water. The sand becomes mud under my feet, as I dampen my toes to my heels and I become closer to the deeper waves that roll up against the shore. The cold wet lake rushes up against my freshly shaven legs, as silent drops of rain banters off of my tummy like a snare drum. I rise to the tips of my toes as the remaining water bellows under the arch of my feet I raise my hands above my head; I prepare to dive Deep inhale and hold... From my fingertips down my arm past my head I am now fully submerged underneath the bed of the sea The cold water is now my home.
