Big but not bad. A big man story
When I was in the army learning my soon to be job they kept us in open bay barraks. If you have watched forest gump the seen where he was being timed while cleaning his rifle shows an open bay barraks. They are just one long room with bunks and lockers on each side and a walk way down the middle.
Ours were set up like this, as you step into the door a heavey locker like a wardrobe for two people made from particle board and steel was against the first wall then a small space enough to walk between the bunk and the locker. Then a set of steel bunk beds and the next locker was behind the beds right up against them and thats how they were all the way down the room on both sides. The walkway between the two rows was 4 or 5 feet wide. Now remember this discription as it is important to the impact of the real story.
We had some big strong guys in our platoon two who were about 5' 6" and were solid muscle so solid in fact I hit one of them on the arm as hard as I could and it hurt my hand! He was like hitting a brick wall! Well the two tall guys were over 6' and the tallest was close to 7' and was decent guy. He never went out of his way to bother anyone he just kept to himself and smiled a lot.
Except for this one day. I came back from doing something and walked into the barracks and every wall locker and bunk was knocked over like dominos! I asked one of the guys what happened? And he said the guy whos name I can not remember had went out and gotten drunk and walked through the Middle of the barracks with his arms stretched out and knocked them all over! Now go back and think about the description that I gave you and you will understand why not one man among us said a word to him about it. We just cleaned up the mess and put things back in order.
