A Little Girl's Dream

In a gymnastics class, a young girl is watching all gymnasts in line. She is amazed the way all gymnasts stretch their arms and legs. She admires almost everybody for having a flexible body. Then she approached the gymnastics teacher and asked if she can enrol herself at age seven. The teacher said, "Yes. Just let your parents know that they are letting you do this on a paper. I will give you some forms recognizing you as my student and have the papers signed by them." "I will. Thank you," said the young girl. The next day, the petite young girl went to the teacher and handed over the letter of consent from her parents. She was informed to come back tomorrow. That same afternoon, the young girl went home so excited, preparing for her first class the following day. She was asked by her mother, "Were you admitted in the gymnastics class?" "Yes. I was told too that I am too young and small for my size to be in gymnastics. I asked for a chance, just once chance despite my short size." "And what did the teacher say," asked the mother. "The teacher said maybe, I will fit in." The mother continued, "Just be careful, my daughter. Me and your dad don't want you to get injured in gymnastics." "I will take care of myself. Thank you Mom!" On the first day of the little girl's gymnastics class, she was taught to do different warm up exercises. As days go on, she was taught to do some splitting positions. One night after the girl's afternoon session, she told her parents, "I learned a lot of exercises and I loved being a gymnast. Being a roller skater, maybe someday I can combine skating and gymnastics..." The parents were delighted for hearing their young daughter's dream and said, "One day, you will become a very good figure skater!"
