Here's my cherry... I keep editing this trying to figure out what form fits it and I cant decide between a Quatrain or a Ballad...
When I began writing I was never taught forms. So this is all new to me.....I hesitate to even say why name them but then I am always up to learning & grammar USUALLY is my forte lol

*deep breath...here goes.

I cry sometimes..wondering why I'm here

So I ask God about it as He’s drying my tears

I tell him how I wake up at night with no one to hold ...

& ask "Is this what it will be like when I get old"?

I guess I never thought about the consequences that my choices would bring

But I realize now, that's probably how I lost my ring.

I'm asking You now is that what I did?

Are those choices the reason I don't have a kid?

Please tell me ! Explain!

Was I really that wild?

Now I'm left alone..

I feel I needed that child.

He quickly answers “ A parent? A child? No. I still disagree.”

“That's not at all how it was meant to be.”

“The life you led was completely out of control”

I knew you couldn't handle something you had to console”

"So I gave you words, your poetry,

Your sculpting & then your "Julzery",

“Focus on those joys & all those passions making you sing.”

"Stop dwelling on not having any of your own offspring.”

I won't show you the future or even say why”

“Because I'll always give gifts that no money can't buy “

“Don't lose your faith, keep believing & in time you'll see"

"Please never doubt you're alone, because you always have Me”

“By the way...you're not old...He mutters,"

Then winks an eye as He flashes that smile...

“I’m still in control...just give Me awhile.”

Help me to correct my poetry? When you write & it comes from your heart like this seems to; corrections are "options" and sometimes not necessary. It's like telling an artistic painter what color to use. I do like this piece even though I normally prefer that poems should have balance and rhythm and if you want they can rhyme. As far as grammar sometimes that doesnt matter either but I'm thinking maybe "sorrowfully" should be sorrowly. I don't remember the english grammar rule. maybe wish strongly could be strongly wish.
& you lied...your knack for poetry's there just needs refined....perfected.

As a queer person with tits, I think you should be able to use those words regardless of context.

It Takes the First Step Load is lacking you...what about something that says & me with no fare
You also are rhyming lines"a,b" the 1st & second c,d & then you stopped except for debt and step. Im not up to par on all my forms of poetry so if I am mistaking you improperly please forgive me.

I am delivered that night to church, where I go to lose my hurt??? my feelings are involved in this...I am touched? I owe a debt or something about you care or maybe even something about I didnt know you cared...just a suggestion

SOMEONE praying again it's me I see?
Might this "Someone" have worth?

& joy in her day?

& not sure if I would even use the quotation marks around someone if I used this.
edited to add

you may find things easier to come to you if you count the syllables to add rhythm I know I do seems to help me.

REMEMBER

these are just suggestions you asked for

How do I find out which form of poetry this is? Seems Back and forth,
I go again.

Chasing that proverbial clock’s pendulum.

Nothing’s achieved.

When you don't try.

No trust yields deceit and soon followed by lies.

Rationalize.

Let me be me.

Can't you see me as who I’m supposed to be.

edited to add I found the syllable counter...

Plagerism I have reason to believe that my words are being stolen. I found several of my poems REWROTE and even printed out & stuck back where my copies go. What if they are entering contests? How do I find out if my poetry has been submitted without my consent? Is there a board I can contact somehow?

I don't have my own computer any more so I am usually only online on my phone. I got out today to go to the library. My email is fickenjt at outlook or gmail or incsju at gmail too. I need help.

The Great IAM The Great IAM

After He hangs each star each night,
He allows the moon to come out & play.
Concise & just as constant,
He sends the sun to start each day.
Faithful, patient & forgiving,
He waits for us to say;;
That we need His Grace, His mercy,
That we want Him to show us His way.
In our joy or in our sorrow,
Today, tomorrow come what may.
God He is, was & always will be.
His love for us won't fade away.
