SPRING RAIN
The knowing rainarrives only when the time is right
before apparent signs of spring.
It creeps inthrough the night
borne by breezes light,
soundlessly bathing all things.

Dark clouds stillshroud country lanes,
Barely hiding river-boat lights.
Dawn glows revealdamp, rosy terrains,
ofpetals in the city, seemingly ignited.
