I voted "NO" because there's a lot of form of Poetry that is still unknown to me...some of the great poets/writer here are very good already so its easy for them to write...but whatever you decide i understand (^_^) have a nice day to all!!

Gosh it is nice Team Poetry ASKS OUR OPINION! I can think of other sites where one is NEVER given a choice. They just do it. I'm too new to judge this well but I wanted to stop by and say thank you!

This will give many poets the opportunity to challenge themselves in areas that they may not be comfortable in,
and that is what drives most of us to writing poetry. I hope you are not planning to shut down other forms, but perhaps a separate feature of form for that day would make some take the chance of trying the form.

I did try new forms of poetry, so I answered yes. When I see the name of a new form I just look up the definition and then try writing it.

Besides having just a "P" inside a Star for Premium Member, there were some "CUPS" beside the Star. Have the flame inside the cups dwindled??

Who are my "Brothers' Keepers?? How does the Bible VIEW eternal punishment by man? Is this greatness too, the removal of some rewarded "Cups". Matthew described the Scribes and Pharisees as making it difficult for the people to praise God!

I voted no because there are legitimate forms of poetry I wouldn't waste my valuable time on.
If I completed a poem and wanted to publish it on that day when one of those forms are the only form allowed, I'd simple log into another poetry site and publish it there. Anyone with foresight can see that it would be driving poets away from PS.

We would never limit what forms are posted on PoetrySoup. Poets will always be able to post any form. We are just asking, would you like to see a specific form featured occassionally. We used to do it and poets loved it.

What is the meaning for the acronym N/A as the results of a Poetry Contest. If its Not Applicable to the Topic, and others poets give positive feedback to the write, then they were able to comprehend what was written with regards to the topic. In order to really encourage poets, if N/A means Not Applicable and persons can relate it to the Topic; may I suggest that the Team place it under "Mentionable" the same time N/A should be placed? This would not be a prize.

I would be interested in being more familiar with different forms of poetry so features from time to time sounds good.

As long as we aren't restricted in what we choose to publish. I love to browse the poetry styles to find styles I've never even heard of. I recently published a small Than-Bauk style poem. I would have never known that this style or other styles exist.I think styles that aren't common would be really interesting.

Might focus, not on form, but on content, and not the usual. Skip writing easy stuff about love, grief, loss and solicit poems on, say, deceit, envy, bravery and sacrifice. This would avoid a flood of greeting card verse.

I think it is nice the way it is. that you read and choose whatever hits your heart or your happy buds or your taste. You are doing a wonderful job, and I do not want to see you limit yourselves. I am thinking if you featured a particular type of poetry, some people might force themselves to write that poetry that week, but would not really "feel it". On the other hand it might encourage a person who almost always writes the same type to try a new way. Whatever you do, I am for you. Hip hip hooray for you I say! I love this site.

Why not? Any thoughtful addition of resource or feature would improve the site and add to the diversity of its membership. Go for it!

I have a hard time to learn new poetry forms. Although i know some already, some forms I struggle
with. The Tyburn, never tried limerick, I do not understand how to do it. Even when i read how it is done .. I do not understand it. Some poetry forms i won't try because i find them to be hard.I love poetry and i enjoy to create my own poems. I have no help when I create or try to creat the new form of poetry. So i vote no.
