When Life gets in the way - T.Nicole Williams's Blog

<font size="2"> <p>I joined poetry soup so many months ago because it seemed like a great place to share poetry and it contained some really talented writers. Sadly the week I joined and after posting of only two poems, I became ill. I was unable to do anything for a long time, but did finally get better, only to be hit with the deaths of too many friends and loved ones. The experience left me depressed and somewhat bitter, and the last thing I wanted in my life was the one thing that I loved....poetry. So I gave it up until about a month ago when my best friend, the love of my life and an awesome poet shared with me this poem titled, <strong><em>"The Invitation" by Oriah Mountain Dreamer.</em></strong> It made me realize that life was never promised to be perfect, that too know and appreciate pleasure one must be able to suffer and grow from pain. Life will go on whether we choose it to or not, its up to us to make the most of the time that we have been gifted with, else awaken each day filled with the misery of regret. Carol Sunshine Brown Date: 9/29/2006 7:29:00 AM Nicole;I am sorry to hear of your losses.It just doesn't seem fair to us when it happens like this. It feels as if our own lives are over at the time. We have to work through it one day at a time. And it always helps when you have someone to lean on. We just have to keep our faith in the Lord and let our friends in also.
