I came across this hokku III from an Amy Lowell collection which is so appropriate for a final blog post to record the welcome encouragement my blogs met here at PS

Morning and evening-

Yet for us once long ago

was no division

You are one of the bestest ever here at the Soup Brian. I remember the first time I ever had a win in one of your contests. I was so excited. It took so long to get there but with your explaining to us it finally sunk in. It is truly an honor to know you and tell you what an asset you were and always will be here at the Soup. No Andrea I have NEVER left PS ,as I said in my update I am not renewing my PM but will in due course comment on blogs and post my poetry just as I have done consistently since joining PS in May 2007. This blog is a farewell type of the approx 800 I have posted here over some 5 years.Rgds

A lovely, yet melancholy poem to say farewell ........ but hope it is not a firm goodbye, dear Brian. Thank you for your kind encouragement, for introducing me to fresher ways to express my words, and sharing your wealth of knowledge. With much admiration and respect, I wish you well, but you will be missed. Please know that we will keep your wife in our thoughts, will pray for her swift recovery, and hope to hear from you often.
