Stronger

my trauma didn’t make me stronger
it didn’t make me learn to love myself 
it gave me a list of diagnosis 
my trauma didn’t make me stronger 
it broke me down till i was almost gone
it left me hanging with no help in sight
my trauma didn’t make me stronger 
it didn’t make me mature it made me grow up to soon
it made me lose relationship i wanted forever 
my trauma didn’t make me stronger 
it made me realize you shouldn’t look for the good 
it made me lose myself
my trauma didn’t make me stronger 
it held me under the water until i was gasping for air
it held me by back while i watched those i loved leave
my trauma didn’t make me stronger 
i did that on my own
healing and work i put into myself made me stronger not the trauma i experienced
