Love's Ending

A heart swells with a blanket of warmth,
Now it covers a newfound chill.
A mind gathers and sorts through the truth.
Now it’s diminished without a shield.
The eyes that once held passion’s bliss,
Now they’re blind with no visions left.
A soaring soul engaged in joy of laughter is lost to loves ending.
The final death!

My heart beat in rhythm and intact.
Now it has slowed below its normal pace.
My mind was quick to respond.
Now all gone without a trace,
My eyes were lit with all that I am.
Now they’re drenched with hollow tears.
My soul danced with the Stars at night.
Loves ending my only fear!

Our hearts were that of one.
Now they’re asleep in empty places.
Dark and all alone!
Our minds could penetrate the many mysteries that be.
Now we are defeated by the unknown.
Our eyes were bright.
So bright we could not see.
Now we are blind with no visions left.
Our souls captured the depths of infinity.
Now, introduced to the secrets we kept.

We had hearts that were of gold.
We were always directed and aimed.
Now no target can be set in place.
We had minds connected with a powerful strength.
Now it seems we have reached the depths of our human race.
We had eyes that held love’s bliss toying with the gloss that gleamed.
We had souls ablaze with rapid inspirations.
Loves ending took all of our dreams.

Hearts explode with much life to live.
The eyes hold shadows of their very own.
Minds explore with a world to give.
Souls soar together.
Their journey unknown,
Hearts cry out for help,
For they want to live.
Eyes that have no life to give,
For they have lost their glow.
Minds drift outward and no one will ever know.
Loves ending,
It is our new beginning!
A happy mending to loves ending!

So love ends or does it just change even as we watch?
