Taste of Spring

Though the chilly breeze of an oppressive winter
lingers a little longer—
giving a wintry sound,
I see the smiling blue sky bending to kiss the ground,
causing charming children to chuckle night and day.
I know the sweet taste of spring is on the way.

Snow may play hide and seek on you,
like a clock—
ticking and kicking.
It may disappear for a while only to reappear,
whispering into your shivering ear,
look I am still here.
My eyes still see the sunshine of joy and hurray.
I know the sweet taste of spring is on the way.

The sweet taste of spring is on the way,
So, smile Oh my soul.
Never allow icy and insane scaremongers
to fill your heart with fear and bind your hope in chain.
As day follows night, spring follows winter.
It will bring you healing, joy, and comfort,
and end your wintry season!
