Eyes To Inside

They say the eyes are a gateway to what's inside
So let me in and confront the demons you hide
Oh young maiden with eyes of forest green
Don't be afraid to show me that demon you call mean
For you are not alone let me tell you
I will be there to shoulder the burden too
They say the eyes are a gateway to what's inside
Oh young maiden with skin as pale as pure snow
Look to me in times you are feeling low
I will be the net that catches thee
So I will say again you can count on me
They say the eyes are a gateway to what's inside
I can see the hurt and pain in your eyes
From those people who you thought wouldn't tell you lies
Abuse of trust and kindness, betrayal and despair
From those who said they loved and would always be there
I can see it all in your eyes alone
Even though you tried to keep it from me
I can see through you into the unknown
Into your soul where those demons lie
But even these would not deter me
For I care to much of you to let you die
No young maiden you are not alone
Even though you try to distance yourself from others
So as to not feel the pain like from past lovers
I will help you see
These demons inside you hold no power
To wear down such a pretty flower
No matter how much pain and sorrow they bring
You must not give in and drag those blades across your skin
Or take the doctors death again
Instead let me fight them for you so you may sing
Yes so you can sing freely and breathe easily
They say the eyes are a gateway to what's inside
I will fight your demons for you so don't despair
Believe when I say I will always care
And never leave you behind
For you are far to kind
As I stare into your eyes I can see
The fires and passion of wanting to be free
From the pain and demons
The pills and blades
Even though the scars may never fade
I will be there for you always
Through your eyes I see
All that pain and misery
They say the eyes are a gateway to what's inside
Say the eyes are a gateway to what's inside
The eyes are a gateway to inside
Eyes a gateway inside
Eyes inside
