Proxy - My Love Part Vii

I swim in the darkness you once reigned in
And he, he arrived and pulled me out
My eyes now blush from his tender caresses
Our hands entwined, an answer to my endless doubt

When the moonlight hits his eyes, it reminds me of the deepest oceans
His laughter is more beautiful than the starry sky
His arms form a shield that’d protect me from all distress
His presence warms my heart, he doesn’t need to try

He loves me more than I love myself
His grip on my hand tighter, than the grief I had fought
He loves me more than I imagined one capable, yet I
Liked him, but still, loved him not

Liked, yet a tiny part of me still yearns for your touch
This hollow feeling still lingers
When his lips fall on mine, I still taste your essence
I feel your roughness on his fingers

The colors in his eyes, remind me of your varying dispositions
I led him on this hopeless path, walking him forward without seeing
How my heart still hung on your doorway; the lilacs whisper
‘You are now a greater monster than you once accused him of being’

Hopeless, I sway, for neither sweet words in prose or verse
Could justify my greed, as I lead him to our demise
Nor my hatred, self-loathing and wasteful injustice
My love, your being, could ever make me despise
