Infected

“Infected”
It creeps in like thief in the night,
Without a word, without sound,
I feel creep slowly across my spine all the way to my mind,
There is no fight, I cannot flee,
From its dark grip that surrounds me,
All I feel is the pain in my brain and nothing enters my head,
Oh this pain, how I wish I were dead
But in an instant it leaves,
The sweet taste of freedom fills me,
The solution to my pain,
I had push it through it, to defeat my bane

Very deep. But I have to say that I can relate to this deeply expressed piece. Best for you, Hunter :)
