Einstein's Micro-Naps
I feel like I'm still in a state
of dreaming
as my body floats
itself to a chair
and I stare blankly
at the air.
That state of
calm.
Like floating
on smooth water
in a daze
and quiet.
Like the peacefulness
after a hurricane..
everything is calm
and silent
as you see the sky in front of you
open
and you float.
Every muscle in your body
has let go.
At ease
you float.
And in a place between awake
and asleep
I see the movie more clearly
that was playing in yesterday's dream.
It's black and white
and every shade in between.
But I see as if I'm there
in person.
It's a musical.
They are singing
he is sitting
she is dancing.
Black and white
it is night
it is.. like
that scene where she sings
about turning 16
in Sound of Music,
my favorite movie growing up,
but this isn't the same.
My head throbs
because maybe
it is wrong
to explain too much.
Or maybe I'm still dreaming
and really out of
or in
touch.
