She Was

She was so tired.
Each step She took was more lifeless than the last.
There was not much warmth left within her,
She was frost bitten and brittle.

Life had taken back any will to live.
Life can be cruel that way, unwilling to forgive.

She was always on the same path.
Only the place changed.
She had never been here before.
She hadn't really ever been anywhere.
Only just a passing body in the night.

For years just wandering down the same path always away.
So, so far away.
She had wandered so very far away from the home where She had begun,
for so very long that that home no longer held a place in time.

She was nothing to no one.
Her existence is mute.

She is alone,

She is tired,

She is nothing.
