Father Daughter

A very cautious little girl asked her father what it was that made the sunshine,
With a sincere slender grin he replied your smile so she hardly ever was seen without it.
When the curious little girl grew older she asked her father why sadness existed,
with a somber serious tone he replied so we will want to hold happiness in the palm of our fists.
So she accepted sadness but longed to meet happiness.

When the girl reached an age where she thought she knew best she very sternly asked her father to leave her alone and so there was no reply.

The wise stern father began to miss his daughters questions so he asked his very curious daughter where she was hiding, and she replied; I grew cold because I realized even when I don’t smile the sun still shines, happiness isn’t something you can hold in your fist and when I asked you to leave me alone I was certain I didn’t need you…
But, she said, I realized my smile made the sun shine FOR YOU, my hand in the palm of your fist brought YOU happiness and you must never leave me alone, because without you I wouldn’t exist.
