Drizzle

The drizzle floated gently down eventually turning to mist
Caressing leaves and flowers as it went by apart from those it kissed

At last it reached the grass
which was relieved that the drought seems to have passed

The humans gave thanks that the drought might break
Although this little bit would barely their thirst slake
But this this the bit of rain
Gave them hope that it would come again

Further north it fell as snow
Just enough for the hill
As skiing to qualify still
Although not a mogul in sight
Keen skiers try as they might
