To the Love of My Life

To the love of my life,
I wish you were here today. I needed you so badly. I still do!
I miss you so much. I think about you every day. I miss your smile. I wish you were here with me right now. I want nothing more at this moment than to be in your arms and feel safe. But I'll go to bed crying silently instead.
I'll wake up and you still won't be here.
I don't know if I will ever see you again, but I dream about it almost every night. I see your face every day, but you aren't there. I see the twisted look of hatred in what used to be your eyes. I die inside. You're gone. I know you're never coming back. All I have left of you is your shell. I can only hope that you are lost somewhere inside.
I miss you more than ever. Please come back to me. Even just for a moment.
I pray that you find me, my love. I'll keep looking for you, I won't give up. From the depth of my soul, I burn for your heart to touch mine again. I will dream that you are with me tonight.

Until we meet again, my darling....

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
