Bassnectar Red Rocks '13

the m u s i c took CONTROL
our heartbeats replaced by B A S S
breathing substituted by humming and
  s c a t t e r e d familiar lyrics
       bodies moving involuntarily yet
seamlessly to the perfect precisely tweaked set
almost feeling as if time stood still
anything ( outside ) this magical
breathtaking place temporarily ceased to exist
this moment in its raw entirety was destined to happen
right here and right now is where we were all meant to be
it seemed as though this natural phenomenon was made for this
a protected little ( nook ) in this crazy world created for these very instants
Overlooking a bustling city sparkling with life anticipation and r e a l i t y
close enough to feel the chaos yet far enough away to still appear stunningly serene
surrounded by rocks lined with history memories and uniquely beautiful experiences
Lorin’s music intermingling with legendary performers reverb e r a t i n g all around us
beams of all colors wildly lit up the crowd highlighting thousands of snapshots of happiness and love
the crowd joined together willingly connecting in an unspoken effortless undivided bond that ran deep
devoid of judgment hate and negativity – genuinely vibing out not only to the mesmerizing m e l o d i e s
but to the belief of TRUE -- harmony admiration music respect wanderlust acceptance hope & comm UNITY
no one I’d rather create or share this purely exhilarating experience with then you – my best friend & the love of my life
I was holding your hand - you were holding my heart – the crowd holding us up – the music letting us let go of it all
I fell in love at that moment with that moment with this place this music this sensation this connection with you
when the music stopped and the awestruck souls filed out you could still feel and see the BASS the energy encircling us
all of us taken on an unforgettable unrepeatable indescribable trip – somehow forever touching each and every one of us
binding us for eternity --- in this love in this encounter --- flawlessly mind blowing exquisite once in a lifetime night
place.time.people.music.love.unity.feeling.wandering.curious.connected. you & me against the world. BASSHEADS.

Wow, That's some poem.. Amanda,, Welcome to Poetry soup I hope you enjoy the community. You'll find friendly poets who are ready to support and give positive feedback. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Other than that I will read, enjoy and comment with positive feedback. Remember, keep posting, stay in touch, TAP my shoulder when you have a new poem. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. You might find my support addictive. I've been a SOUP Poet for 6 years. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. I'm from Texas, How about you? Tell me a little about your poetic skills. I will enjoy following you and your poetry :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@
