Off To War

Brother and Father gone
Over fields they roam
As they disappear through dawn
Someday they will come home

Even though they are cold
They will keep on going
"Be brave," they were told
As we keep on sewing.

We were by the fireside
When they were off to war
All of us cried
When they went through the door

Brother and Father gone
Back over the fields they roam
As they appear through dawn
Today they will come home
