Why

Why do we always wait
Until the sun has nearly set,
Where the shade from evening shadows
Is the only shelter we can get.
Where darkness falls on memories
Of long lost," happy "times,
and the only sound we here
Is that of regrets mournful chimes.
Why can't we rise up with the Sun,
In the early morning mists?
In that place thats far more beautiful
Than any angel God has ever kissed.
Where we as children, used to play,
Before the " Truth " shown in our eyes
and sent us running for the shadows,
To hide ourselves from our own lies.
 WHY!?!
