Time
For everything there’s a time,
Yes, the clock is in God’s hand
He orders the sun to rise & shine
Then later says: “you can now set”
A precious treasure indeed of value exceeding great
To be embraced, not squandered nor wasted
Unlike money, most of us have it
But for a very short while, nonetheless
As the hourglass sand; it slowly creeps to run out
Wisely spend it or regret it -
Standing on the dark side,
Wishing you could reverse it
There never seem to be a perfect time
Well, perhaps it could be right now
Just act and later on you’ll find out
The present time we can do something about
But into the past we can only go back as far as our memory takes us
Into the future likewise, only as far as our abstract imagination lets us
Is there enough time? – well, maybe not quite
Somebody told me they had no time
I offered to spend mine with them
But “No, don’t waste your time” they said
That was the best time to learn
And the worst time is still ahead
When nothing is seen and no sound into the ear is heard
Fully numbed till nothing is felt
When all seem to stand
The loved ones stricken by fear, more quiet and scared
Many like to say: “I don’t have time for them”
But if we love
Then shouldn’t we make time for them?
Past, present & future
Time will always be there
Yet we will not always be here!
Reliving back, I hear an echo of words:
What we invest our time on is what we get
Time never used is time wasted, every minute counts
Three men live in the present time, we’ll call them 3; 2 and 1
1’s life is like 2’s past,
3’s current life is 2’s dream future life
The most logical thing is to give thoughts to our actions and thoughts
