Broken
I panic as she tells me I am not good enough.
Breathless, shaken, in this world alone.
I demolish my finger nails, biting rapidly,
as the pain spirals throughout my body.
Yelling, sobbing, a different world.
I am transfixed, invisible.
Vulnerable, scared of the darkness.
For if I close my eyes I might dream of an utopia,
a world unknown.
I am trapped in an abyss.
My thoughts surround me as I rock
back and forth, back and forth, for I am being haunted.
My world has stopped, and me, the victim.
Lord, please help me for this heart of mine has now been corrupted.
