Damaged

Damaged

Your eyes are dark and endless
Like the pit that they call love.
I fell in
Hit my head and was blinded
By the light in your darkness.
I couldn't see the signs
That you never gave me.
Couldn't hear the screams
Telling me that you were no good.
And as if they weren't enough
To get that through
My messed up little brain
Somebody else was there
Holding your heart
In the palm of her hand.
She's got mine too
In the other hand she crushes it
As I speak.
No, it's ok I'll just get through a little
Damaged.
