Microwave
Your honor, I’ve a case to plead,
My microwave has lied to me.
I know it seems a minor crime,
But I swear its worthy of your time.
I was late to school that day,
I had thrown my clock away.
I had to rush, I could not lag,
I threw my books into my bag.
I needed to make lunch with ease,
I grabbed a frozen block of cheese.
I set the dial for heat and run,
The microwave said it was done.
I put it in between some bread,
My poor sandwich looked quite dead.
I thought it would be thawed in time,
For lunch today at ten to nine.
Class was done: 8:47
Lunch would last until 11.
I went with my friends out to the yard,
My sandwich seeming strangely hard.
I took it out and took a bite,
The cheese then put up quite a fight!
It gave my teeth a sudden strain,
Causing me surprising pain.
So this is how it is you see
My microwave has injured me,
I now have pain in teeth and face,
And therefore sir I rest my case.
