Full Cycle - Hexsonnetta

To beat the summer heat
boys backs and feet were bare.
We didn't have a care;
we had enough to eat,
(a diet short on meat
but lacking on despair.)

My grandma lived with us,
and gently guided me
('cus momma worked you see).
Mom had to take a bus.
Nan taught me not to cuss.
We shared a lot, we three.

We're raising grandkids now
and grandmas sure know how.

WOW, first time I saw out of the blue my poetry form shown here at Soup!!! I created this form, Lawrence. You did superbly with i!! And to find Brenda or anyone else here, just go to top of this page where it says Search, type in the person's name. Then click on one of their poems. Once you see their name above their poem, you will notice a little soup bowl by the side of the name. This is how you access someone at Soup, in case you don't know! Wish someone told me that when I first came here!
