Cattle

They herd us

Cattle

Skin brushing
Smell of sweat rising

Get in line

Forces shoving
Pushing

They funnel us
Older ones there
Younger ones there

Corridors cramped
Breathing

Silence

They tell us to think
Be creative

Our heads
Trapped in a bridle
Occupied

They do not want creativity

They reach their hands
Down our throats

Replacing our words
With theirs

They grip our hearts
Ripping apart the dreams
They told us to chase

Write whether you agree or not
You do not agree
You are wrong

Cattle

They place us
In isolation

Claiming
We do not meet
Their standards

They tell us to think
To be creative

But we are wrong
