Liar

Did I tell you that your hair looks nice
And your ass looks great in those jeans
Did I say the sex was hot last night
And you starred in all of my dreams
Did I remember to say “I love you”
As you walked on out the door
Did I tell you to have terrific day
And you’re the one that I adore

I’m a liar, I’m a really good liar
I can lie right to your face
I’m a liar, a really good liar
It’s my only saving grace

Can’t bruise your precious ego
By letting you in on the truth
But the only time I ever lie
Is when I say nice things to you
Can’t say what I’m really thinking
I better keep it to myself
The best thing for my sanity?
Keeping peace for everyone else

I’m a liar, I’m a really good liar
I can lie right to your face
I’m a liar, a really good liar
It’s my only saving grace
