Flames of Love
FLAMES OF LOVE
My heart yearns for a love long forgotten
as it whispers to my soul of your many forms.
My eyes long to see your face
as your eyes share stories of lives past.
My arms reach out to once again feel your
warm skin against mine, anxiously
awaiting my sense of home.
My ears wish to hear you
once again call my name
as though we never parted.
My mouth aches to taste your
sweet essence as our lips
ignite and in that moment
all of our senses unite
and like the stars
our souls catch fire
in the sacred flames
of love.
