Broken

I am torn 
I am shattered 
I am bound and broken 
Heavy shackles on my feet 
--Chains in my heart! 
I can't move 
I can't breathe 
The world closes in 
Darkness encloses me in its thick blankets. 
My heart so somber, 
--Beats so loudly I fear it will burst! 
Tears fill my eyes and blind my way, 
I can't move 
I can't see 
I can't feel 
I am blind 
I am deaf 
I am numb 
I am a slave 
My wings broken, my spirit crushed 
I am dead, he is gone 
I am alone and cold 
Now, I fear I will never be whole again.

Poet Destroyer A Date: 4/6/2015 5:17:00 PM about your poem: WOW, this is heavy and deep. To carry a weight brought on by others. I love everything about this poem, from blind to death. That's how I felt 8 months ago. I'm adding this poem to my favorite poem list. I don't come across poetry like this. It's up my alley. If you don't mind I think you should change the form to Free Verse or Verse, perhaps you like EPIC much better. I'd recommend AWESOME, but LOL, we don't' have the form. soup mail
