Love
They say love is just a word
Since its a feeling unheard
But guess what?
I'm perfectly fine with that
There was once a time
I wanted someone to be mine
It was the day I met HIM
I knew my chances were slim
I accidentally dated his friend
How you may ask? I don't know
Point is it wasn't the end
We broke up a week later
When I found out he was a lying traitor
The worst thing he did is
He lied to me so I would be his
The days passed by
All I ever did was cry
A week passed, I saw a dove
I ran into my first love
I know what you may be thinking
Yes... it's the ex's best friend
We talked for what seemed like hours
When I realized my ex thought he had power
He tried to make us hate each other
Jokes on him. We love one another
Soon we will be a year
Yes I know it's hard to hear
This has been the best year of all
I haven't seen a tear fall
Love is not just a word
It's a feeling that can be heard
Yes it's an unexpected thing
But worth it for the happiness it brings.
