The Pain of Night
The Light of Night is a different light
It bears not what we can handle
Only for the reason that we don't know why it frightens us
More than knives
Wishing for day
Waiting
The Light of Night is a peculiarity
Is it the Sadness?
The Loneliness?
The Unknown?
The Rational?
The Irrational?
Is it a secret truth
Buried deep within the subconscious...?
Are we all fools?
No.
Some like the dark
The Sad
The Lonely
The Angry
The Evil
Are they the ones that are sane?
No.
WE are the sane ones
The Joyful
The Adventurous
The Curious
The Scared
We are Scared of the dark
Because it simply does not offer
What we find Joyful.
What we find Up-building.
Or Fascinating.
It does not offer what we find worthy of living for.
We are the ones that are sane
Night is for Sleep
We are Awake.
We Live.
We Live life the way it is supposed to be lived--
In the Light of Day.
