From Fiction To Fact a Twisted Fairy Tale

From Fiction to Fact ( A Twisted Fairy Tale)

Fairy tales of giants and trolls.
Goblins in the holes
Elves living in golden glades
High in the trees singing musical retrieves

Dragons flying with human magicians
Witches both good and evil to tantalize our imaginations,
Mermaids in watery kingdoms under the seas.
And don’t forget the greatest of all
Hobbits and their holes.

But which tale suits us best
In this world of the covid test?
Is it the tale of Pipe-Piper?
And the rat plague, how he magically
Played a tune to lead those rats away?

And wasn’t it something about the children all
Were placed in quarantine in the magical hills
A children’s paradise of fairy folk to save them
Or so it may seem away from all ill?

The parents cried and blamed him the Piper
For taking away the children as if he was
An evil leach with only tales of some madness
That they could only believe nor have any forgiveness

Until the threat of illness was no longer
Our hero Piper lead all the children home
And families where once again reunited all the fonder.
I must admit this tale really does fit our own world
And into our lives right now as we all strive towards
The goal of the greater good to beat this viral corona
With lock-downs and vaccines and of course quarantine

Of clarity , this tale of the Piper who in my own mind
Is the hero who saved the children from the plague.
And just maybe if you have a young one in the family
Just maybe telling this tale to help them see reality.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
