Summer Is Here

Summer is here you can tell be the light
it lingers so long into the edge of night
the crickets are loud
singing in the trees so proud
I hear them at night
as their song is just right
I hear the frogs to, that chirp almost like a bird
with a little rattle in his song, as his summer life stirred
Then the night owl "hooos" in
just to give the nights song a spin
He didn't want to be left out
so he gave us his little shout
could add a bit to this really great piece
got'ta be smooth, I tell my young niece
got'ta find the rhythm, and then the beat
got'ta chirp and chime in, then it’s so neat
