Happiness
My wish for you is
a beautiful day.
Every bird chipping,
every person smiling.
Each cloud placed in the sky
with precision and purpose.
Warmth was felt on each person’s skin
as the sun is standing tall above.
As if someone painted a picture
of a perfect day
and hung it over a fire place
where it could be admired on a winter night.
Cold and dark outside
but warmth was found with in.
like a protective blanket that a child finds comfort in
in order to go to sleep,
I give comfort to those need it.
with every bird chirping
and every person smiling,
my job is complete.
