Mid Decision

As the fire rose from the 93rd floor,
All movement is stone cold. In a panic is the New York.
Fire, breaks loose and grazes the air….plenty of lives needed to be spared.
Not enough air to keep them all alive, to fight, or even try.
Why would I want to live through this, and miss the question of will I live?
On the edge, of something unreal, on the edge of the floor, broke windows, glass on the floor,
A fire rages on ever more.
Nothing can keep me from leaving….It’s my choice to go like this,
Don’t make it a big deal.

What I feel is real, what I feel is right,
In this moment of helpless, day and dreading night.
Scared and lonely abandoned on the 99th floor, no feeling of life,
Or saving today. So I breathe one last breath, hold it in.
Release it and take the last step towards death.
Don’t try to save me tonight, you can’t save me,
Just let me relive my pain, and save the worrying if, I will make it out alive,
I can’t be saved, it’s a given,
From the people in the plane,
Others still being driven.
9/11
