Don'T You Think

Don’t you think

Don’t you think it scary how quickly life can change
A global alteration in not so many days
How quickly status levels and money has no place
In the outcome of tomorrow or whether we’ll be safe
As a nation we’re so stubborn, think that we know best
Twist advice we’re given to satisfy ourselves
Oh if we do that we’ll be ok, its just a little trip
It won’t make any difference, yes it will so get a grip
We’re told so very simply to quarantine ourselves
Stay in, stay safe, protected
From the killer that’s out there
Help The heroes of the NHS to do the fighting for us
They’re our frontline and our best hope to Eradicate the virus
We’re in the midst of battle – the Battle of the Bug
And this time it is serious, there is no magic drug
Or pill to pop so all is well when we wake up tomorrow
For many now each day they live is time they have to borrow
The world we knew is changing it will never be the same
Its cities stand like ghost towns just waiting to decay
If we work together every woman child and man
We can make a nicer future, we really really can
So care for one another not only for today
For in there lies our future, there is no other way
