The Poet

Poetry’s blue
Like raindrops and dew
It’s sad when it’s said
Most poets are dead.

Music is blissful
To a poet it’s wistful
Has it never been cried
That an artist has lied.

A flower’s a bud
 It’s soil in love
An apparatus of chortle and cheer
But has it never been said
That god must be dead
‘cause even flowers
Whittle with tears.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Hi Kurdt, I see you are new to Poetry Soup. Welcome! It seems like you are gravitating towards a more Free Verse stylization in your works. This poem is interesting and well done. Good for you. Your Frankenstein creation was interesting also and very enjoyable to read. Keep up the good work. Have a great day. Earl
