Finding God
I once was in a darkened place, no shelter to be found,
All I heard was hate in an ongoing echoing sound.
All of a sudden I saw a small bright light
It told me not to be afraid, and not to put up a fight.
So I trusted the light and walked a little closer
I put my fears on hold and became a little bolder.
I then found a path that was the one for me
God opened up his arms and fully welcomed me.
I cried tears of joy for my saving place had been found
Even though I did not know, He was always around.
I just needed some faith, something worth fighting for.
Once I found my faith, I found an open door.
God showed me his love and mercy, and how he died for my sins,
and how if you ignore the darkness the light will always win.
So here I am today, more alive and more brand new
without God in my life I would not know what to do.
Open up your heart and open up your eyes
For when you find the light it is God in disguise.
