Begin

Did you see my father here?
I cannot find him anywhere
I've been waiting for him to tell me no
So I can kill him, then just go
Away to find another one
Again and again until it's done
I've spent my life in search of him
But time has made my light grow dim
Did you see my mother here?
I cannot find her anywhere
Three times she came and sat awhile
And comforted me with different smiles
Away to find another one
Again and again until it's done
I've spent my life in search of her
Alas, my heart does yearn no more
I have no father, he never was
He didn't act as a father does
I have no mother, she was never there
Never gave time to love and care
I have no need to find them still
They never existed, they never will
What I have learned from looking back
I can give to myself what I thought I lacked
Away to find another one?
No more, the search is finally done
I find everything I need within
And that's the way it's always been
I get it now
I've been set free
There is no us
There is only me
Begin...
